My Office.

From The View I Love the Most

I sent this pic to my dad this morning titled "MY office this morning!" I think my view is the best in the morning...even if it is BEFORE the sun comes up.

My Dad's Office

I got this picture today from my dad titled "My Office Today." My first instinct was to be insanely jealous!! But 99% of me is so thankful that my parents are getting a chance to vacation together and recharge. My dad has been working so hard lately after his two biggest competitors closed their doors. He distributes magazines and basically the "big guys" made a monumental mistake by agreeing to do business the Wal-mart way. He has been fielding phone calls for weeks now and raking in new business. I just can't tell you how proud I am of him. My most favorite part was the part when he told the Wal-mart guys to find someone else unless they wanted to do it the FAIR way! This means that many people in this area will keep their jobs, some people may get new jobs and stores will get their periodicals without having to pay more! Way to go Dad!! Here is a video just for you. It's a little "slapstick" but I thought you might like it!

Don't worry mom! Everyone knows that behind every great and successful man...there is a woman behind the scenes doing more than her share!!! I am so thankful they are enjoying each other and recharging this week!! Love you both!!!

Thank you!

From The View I Love the Most

Big Daddy has been out of town. He has an annual meeting and this year it just happened to be in Florida. Nanny...also in Florida with Mr. Nanny. Please don't get me wrong...I love my kids. But being trapped indoors with a 2 year old and a 4 year old can be a challenge. Now factor in PMS, no husband, insulin resistance that we seem to be losing control of, and a new found love for bickering and you have the perfect storm. Wowwweeee! Things were getting pretty ugly. BUT thanks to my saintly mother-in-law, I am still coherent and my children still have all of their limbs. It has been so nice to have her come by and make my load a little lighter. Last night we went to eat a "Chickle Flay" (Cohen speak for Chic-fil-a) and she took the kids while I headed to the mall for a little retail therapy! I can't remember the last time I actually bought myself something from the mall!! I got a GREAT pair of capri pants, a pair of jeans and a shirt that accentuates the positives and hides the negatives! Too bad I won't be wearing the capris this weekend since we are expecting SNOW!!! YUCK!!! I digress. What I mean to say here is...I am infinitely blessed. Thank you Grandma Connie for being so wonderful!!!

Family Picnik

Thanks to my good friend Monica for checking out Picnik and giving it her stamp of approval! I LOVE IT! It's like Photoshop for dummies...or moms who don't have the time to learn Photoshop! I decided to show off some of my latest work with pictures of our visit with our Oklahoma City family! We had such a great time with them. Thanks to Nanny who watched all four kids while the big kids went out on a date! Take a gander and then head on over to Picnik and create your own masterpieces!

By the way, be prepared for LOTS of new posts with LOTS of new pics. Why?? Let me tell you.

On Friday I was having a really crummy morning. Really I was just feeling sorry for myself which I am TOTALLY not proud of, but I'm human. Things were just really getting the best of me. Big Daddy called me as I was picking up some of the kids at Claire's school to go on a field trip and wanted to know where I was, how long I was going to be there and such. I quickly rushed through some answers and let him go. As I was herding three very adorable little girls into the stinkmobile (aka my truck that smells like dirty feet and cinnamon) I turned around to see Big Daddy pulling into the parking lot. I watched him get out of his car...which is a treat in itself because he's so darn handsome..and he handed me a box. With a kiss and a smile he said, "I hope your day gets better, I love you!" Off he went and I looked down at this large box containing....A NEW LAPTOP!!!! He could have handed me a single flower and I would have been just as pleased, but man oh man is this thing great!!! It's fast, has a webcam and I can put my memory card directly into the computer so uploading pictures is a breeze. Oh Big Daddy, you are too sweet to me!

Mocha Mocha Joe

From The View I Love the Most

Last week my mom sent my dad to the store. He came home with a little something extra. There was an animal shelter in the parking lot and said that the dogs that were left at the end of the day were going to be put to sleep. When he set his eyes on this four year old Chocolate Lab (Or "Chocolate Factory" as Drew said) he couldn't help himself. The kids fell in LOVE with Mocha Joe. They loved the way he just layed there while they cuddled him until they couldn't cuddle anymore! Dad was calling him Joe, but Drew insisted we call him by his full name. Cohen calls him Mocha Mocha Joe and it's the cutest thing ever!! The only problem with Mocha Joe...he just won't stay with us! My parents have a really nice dog pen for the bird dogs and he chewed his way through the chainlink. He busted out the the screened in porch and even JUMPED from the second story deck!!! He was returned numerous times by neighbors who said they wanted him if we didn't. The last time he escaped...he never came back. There were a few kids around here that were VERY sad but luckily they didn't have a lot of time to get attached. We miss you Mocha Joe!

You Go Girl!

One of my favorite blogs mentioned something called a Go Girl. Uhhhh, no thanks. I find leaning against a tree to be just as enjoyable and it's free. I'm just saying.
