Happy Easter!
Don't ask me WHY I am up at midnight. I need to be in bed as I have to have 2 kids dressed in their actual Sunday's best and checked into the nursery by 8 am. The kicker....I will be doing this by myself. I still am not sure how single moms do it. God bless each and every one of them! Poor Brian is so very ill and I just wish there was something I could do for him. His throat could not look more disgusting! I am so looking forward to church in the morning, I just wish Brian could be there. But I am so blessed to have plenty of my family meeting me at the 10:00 service! I see a long Sunday afternoon nap in our future! Happy Easter!!!

What a day!
We met Grandma Connie for lunch today at "Baby Redbird's" (Red Robin) and then she took the kids to the park. I went shopping for an outfit to wear Sunday while the kids enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL day. I picked Claire up at Great-Grandma and Papa Bill's and Cohen stayed with Grandma. Claire and I went to David's Bridal to meet Auntie Ashley and the rest of the girls in the wedding party to try on dresses. We had so much fun and Claire looked so cute in her flower girl dress! I can't believe how much she is growing up. Meanwhile, Daddy was at urgent care being diagnosed with Strep. YUCK!
So here's the story of the day. We ran home to get Brian's Rx and dropped it off at Walgreens. While we waited we went and ate dinner. We went back into Walgreens because I needed to get a few things besides the Rx. Claire and Cohen got the giggles while we were in line and couldn't control themselves. Everyone thought they were funny except the lady behind us. She was rather put out and honestly......just plain old grouchy. Imagine her surprise when Claire, amidst her fit of laughter says, "I'm peeing." Yes, that's right. My little girl who has been potty trained for almost 2 years just peed in the floor at Walgreens. The grouchy lady jumped back and gasped "OH MY GOSH!" The part of me that was exhausted wanted to cry. The other part wanted to laugh until I cried. The second part won. I couldn't help it! I asked Claire why she peed and she said it was because she laughed too hard! I lost it. That's funny stuff. Then I hear over the loudspeaker, "We need a manager with a mop to the pharmacy counter for a cleanup!" Then I really lost it. I look over at my 3 year old standing in a HUGE yellow puddle just in time to see Cohen throw his wad of watermelon bubble gum right into the middle of it! SPLASH! The sweet man who was also waiting brought me some paper towels to clean Claire's legs up. I was so thankful for him as I was getting NO sympathy from Miss Grouchy VonScowlsalot. As we left, Cohen had successfully wooed all 3 pharmacists by blowing kisses and telling them "BYE BYE!" Claire literally squeaked out of the store not the least bit phased by the whole ordeal.
Ohhhhh this. is. my. life. And ya know what? I wouldn't have it any other way!
I came home to a VERY SICK husband. Looks like I will be spending the night on the couch. I can't get sick! I REALLY hope we are able to get to church on Sunday. I have been looking forward to it for months. Easter is my FAVORITE service at JRA. The music is AMAZING! I am praying that we can make it!!

All clear!
We got the results from Claire's MRI and everything looked normal! I'll have to admit that is GREAT NEWS but now I'm really baffled! The good thing is that her docs aren't ready to give up. They know that I am still very concerned about Claire's weird symptoms and I don't want to give up just yet. I am so blessed with such wonderful compassionate doctors. I feel much better knowing that Claire's brain and pituitary gland are completely normal. I know Brian was relieved as well! Now that we got over her ear infection, Cohen's on antibiotics for his infection and we all seem to be holding it together.....(KNOCK ON WOOD) we are looking forward to a few months without having to go to the doctor! I LOVE Dr. Stacy's office and everyone in it, but we are seeing them too often!
Today we are enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather, thanking God that we just had a tiny tiny tiny leak in the basement and getting the house all ready for Easter! I am getting ready to open the windows, turn on the NCAA tournament and whip this place into shape!!!!

We made it!
We are home from Claire's MRI in Kansas City. She was AMAZING. We got there at 10:00 am and they didn't get her sedated until almost 12:30. They were running behind. So Claire hadn't eaten since dinner the night before, but she never once complained! She was so brave and cooperative. I will have to admit she was funny going in and coming out of the sedatives. Other than the projectile vomit on the way home, everything went smoothly. And even that wasn't so bad!
We were so blessed to be able to come home and spend the evening with my cousin Dana, her husband Clint and their boys Taylon and Trayden. Taylon and Claire have a blast together and we LOVE listening to Taylon read. He is reading so well!!! Trayden and Cohen (just 12 days apart) are wonderful playmates. They actually did a little wrestling tonight which was the CUTEST thing I've seen in a while. Dana and I are taking the older ones to see "Horton Hears a Who" tomorrow! I can't wait! Horton is probably my favorite Dr. Seuss character. We were hoping to have an Easter egg hunt but the weather may not cooperate. We might just have it inside!! I wonder what it would take to get them to relocate to Springfield?
Oh and we took our little dude to urgent care on Sunday. He was running a fever and his eye was swollen and matted shut. Turns out he had a cold that turned into an infection in his ears and in the tissue around his eyes!!! Nothing a $100 antibiotic won't fix! Thank goodness for insurance that covers 90% of that!
Needless to say....I'M READY FOR BED!
