a little bit of me

Here's where I come from. I was born in Liberal, KS and moved A LOT until I started school. My Mom decided that she wanted us to start and finish in one school district. (THANKS MOM!) It was at Jeffries Elementary where I met the girls who I grew up with and who became the women I often depend on. You know who you are! I picked up a few more girls at Cherokee that became friends for life. But I would have to say the best "find" at old CJH was this tall lanky kid...Brian. Oh I knew right away he was the one! So we dated through high school and college and one summer on the Beach in Pensacola, FL he asked me to be his wife. We were married June 22, 2002 and 2 years later, had the first of our 2 children. On July 21, 2004 Claire Adeline was born. It was the most amazing thing I had ever done until September 21, 2006 when Cohen Wayne was born. I think I was put on this earth to give birth. That's the easy part.....then you have to take them home! My kids and my husband are the light of my life. They are two completely different kids so I get to enjoy the best of both worlds! I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with them. It wouldn't be possible without my wonderful husband. He works so hard so that I can stay home. We are still trying to perfect the art of living with 2 kids and one income but there is not a single person I'd rather do that with. He is an amazing Daddy and I love to watch him with our kids.

If you know me, you know my life revolves around God, my family and friends. I am blessed to live close to my family. Claire and Cohen have Nanny, Papa and Grandma Connie so close! It's wonderful (especially when Mommy and Daddy need a break!). Grandpa Ken and Grandma Debi live in New York so we don't get to see them as often as we would like. The kids are surrounded by so many people who love them. If we let everyone take them for a day....we would never see them!

When I do have down time I like to read, do crafty stuff and watch TV with Brian. Anything that is not on channels 290-300 is good for me. (Those are the kids channels and they are on all day!) We love to play outside when the weather is nice.

LIKES:
a good book, bath, a good cup of coffee, just the right song, a good cry, a good laugh, saltwater taffy, spring, fall, a good Sunday morning service, a "dry night" for Claire, cream soda, getting fun stuff in the mail (the best stuff comes from New York!), Chiefs football, my parents pool, our waterfall, a clean house, having the laundry caught up, watching Cohen learn to walk!

DISLIKES:
Drunk drivers, cancer, wet sheets, a dirty house, bad news, negative people, stubbing my toe, seeing one of the kids fall down, doing the Heimlich on a baby!
